Este viaje cinematográfico se adentra en el mundo íntimo de Yasujiro Ozu a partir de sus diarios, cuadernos de guerra, cartas, entrevistas y filmaciones inéditas. Con sus propias palabras, el film muestra cómo transformó pérdidas y traumas en obras perdurables.

This cinematic journey explores the inner world of Japanese master filmmaker Yasujiro Ozu, drawing from his private diaries, wartime notebooks, letters, interviews, photographs, and never-before-seen home movies. Through Ozu’s own words, the film traces how he transformed personal loss and wartime trauma into enduring masterpieces.

Estudió cine en el American Film Institute, y se dio a conocer en el 2000 cuando su corto The Man on Lincoln’s Nose estuvo nominado a un Oscar. Realizó documentales sobre algunos de los grandes nombres del Hollywood clásico, entre ellos, Harold and Lilian. A Hollywood Love Story (Bafici ‘16).

He studied film at the American Film Institute, and became known in 2000 when his short film The Man on Lincoln’s Nose was nominated for an Oscar. He directed documentaries about some of the great names of classic Hollywood, among them, Harold and Lilian. A Hollywood Love Story (Bafici ‘16).
