Sinopsis

Su voz, su mirada y su movimiento rescatan del olvido a Jorge Donn. A partir de un archivo intenso, el film recompone una vida única: un recorrido por su gloria junto a Béjart, su destino trágico y un cuerpo que nunca dejó de brillar.

His voice, his gaze, and his movement rescue Jorge Donn from oblivion. Drawing on an intense archive, the film reconstructs a unique life: a journey through his glory alongside Béjart, his tragic fate, and a body that never ceased to shine.

Florencia Dávila, Mariano Baez

Dávila se formó en Filosofía (UBA) y en la industria editorial. Coprodujo el largo Escuchar a Dios y colidera Riesgo Cine entre Buenos Aires y Barcelona. Báez (Esperanza, Santa Fe) es realizador y montajista egresado de la UBA, radicado en Barcelona. Se formó en el underground porteño y consolidó esa búsqueda en Escuchar a Dios.

Dávila studied philosophy (UBA) and worked in the publishing industry. She co-produced the feature film Escuchar a Dios and co-leads Riesgo Cine between Buenos Aires and Barcelona. Báez (Esperanza, Santa Fe) is a filmmaker and editor who graduated from the UBA and is based in Barcelona. He trained in the Buenos Aires underground and consolidated that pursuit in Escuchar a Dios.

Para muchos argentinos el bailarín Jorge Donn es sinónimo de dos momentos que están adheridos al imaginario cultural del país: su magistral interpretación del Bolero de Ravel en la película Los unos y los otros (Lelouch, 1981) y su sentida reacción ante la monumental interpretación del Polaco Goyeneche del tango “Naranjo en flor” en el programa Cordialmente, de Juan Carlos Mareco (ATC,1984). For many Argentinians, dancer Jorge Donn is synonymous with two moments that are ingrained in the country's cultural imagination: his masterful interpretation of Ravel's Bolero in the film The Ones and the Others (Lelouch, 1981) and his heartfelt reaction to Polaco Goyeneche's monumental interpretation of the tango “Naranjo en flor” on Juan Carlos Mareco's program Cordialmente (ATC, 1984).
