Sinopsis

En las montañas bolivianas, niños aymaras asisten a una escuela que preserva su lengua y cosmovisión. Al salir, recorren los cerros para trabajar. Entre aula y tierra, infancia y adultez se entrelazan bajo el peso temprano del trabajo y la herencia colectiva.
In the Bolivian mountains, Aymara children attend a school that preserves their language and worldview. When they leave, they walk through the hills to work. Between the classroom and the land, childhood and adulthood intertwine under the early weight of work and collective heritage.

(1984, Argentina). Realizador, escritor y músico. Egresado del ISCAA (Argentina), con maestrías en Cine Documental (EICTV, Cuba) y Posproducción de Sonido (EBS, España). Su obra indaga en la relación entre memoria, territorio e identidad desde una mirada poética y etnográfica.

Documental observacional en precioso blanco y negro que retrata una escuela de las alturas bolivianas donde niños aymaras aprenden tanto tradiciones ancestrales como robótica. En un país donde el trabajo infantil alcanza cifras alarmantes, la escuela aparece como un oasis posible entre el estudio y las responsabilidades tempranas. José David Apel retrata este espacio de transmisión cultural y de aprendizaje colectivo mientras los chicos atraviesan una infancia marcada por el trabajo y la inserción en la comunidad. An observational documentary in beautiful black and white that depicts a school in the Bolivian highlands where Aymara children learn both ancestral traditions and robotics. In a country where child labor has reached alarming levels, the school emerges as a potential oasis between education and early responsibilities. José David Apel captures this space of cultural transmission and collective learning as the children navigate a childhood marked by work and integration into the community. Through focus shifts, cross-fades and aerial tracking shots with drones, the film builds a poetic look on education, memory, and the future. IB
