“El gordo tramposo”, “Soy un perdido eléctrico”, “El regreso de Mao”. Permítanme esos recuerdos personales, que seguramente no son solo míos: recuerdos de rockerías ochentosas, de casetes piratas de dudosa procedencia, grabados, con suerte, directo desde consola. A ese universo, el de una banda en el medio de la primavera democrática, con un pie en la escena rockera y el otro en la vanguardia artística, vuelven con cariño, orgullo y alegría los testimonios de músicos, periodistas y gente cercana a la grabación de aquel primer disco. Después vendría la masividad absoluta, sin renunciar nunca a esa independencia radical convertida en marca registrada. La consolidación del mito.
