También Lucía Seles, que va a buscar al modo Lucía Seles el misterio o los misterios de la película de Jaime Chávarri (y de Michi, y de Felicidad, y de Juan Luis, y de Leopoldo María). Astorga, in northwestern Spain. There’s the Episcopal Palace designed by Antoni Gaudí—one of the very few examples of Gaudí’s work outside Catalonia. Astorga is also home to Astorga mantecados, which are sold throughout Spain. Astorga is the hometown of the Panero family, the protagonists of The Disenchantment. Astorga is a place some of us make a pilgrimage to because of the Paneros and The Disenchantment. And Lucía Seles, who sets out in her own way to uncover the mystery—or mysteries—of Jaime Chávarri’s film (and of Michi, and of Felicidad, and of Juan Luis, and of Leopoldo María). And the mysteries must remain, they must endure. And Seles' exploration must become a film, a film born from a film. A devotional film, a votive offering, a tribute. “We won’t have any descendants, will we?” Michi said at the end of The Disenchantment. It was true, but not entirely. JPF
