Una reversión psicotrónica de los primeros cortometrajes del cine, filmados por los hermanos Lumière hace 130 años.

A psychotronic reversion of the first short films in cinema, created by the Lumière brothers 130 years ago.

Tetsuo Lumiere

Guionista, director, actor y montajista. Sus películas combinan humor absurdo, ironía y situaciones cotidianas que derivan en lo surreal. Inspirado por el cine mudo del siglo XX, emplea recursos visuales y narrativos clásicos con un enfoque contemporáneo. Entre sus films se encuentran Buscando la esfera del poder (Bafici ‘13) y Río, luego existo (Bafici ‘25).

A screenwriter, director, actor, and film editor. His films combine absurdist humor, irony, and everyday situations that drift into the surreal. Inspired by twentieth-century silent cinema, he employs classical visual and narrative techniques with a contemporary approach. His films include Quest for the Power Sphere (Bafici ‘13) and I Laugh, Therefore I Am (Bafici ‘25).

Una idea concentrada, potente, infalible, y la imaginación yendo a darle cuerpo (es decir, tentáculos, ramificaciones, desbordes amorfos e inesperados, graciosos, únicos, maravillosos). En un movimiento la historia del cine se pliega y se proyecta al futuro con amor y desparpajo. Tetsuo Lumiere es el maestro de ceremonias que hace las veces de Reanimator dándole shocks de electricidad al cine primitivo y logrando el milagro de volver a aquellas viejas películas a la vida, de restituirles su poder fantasmático, su carácter desconcertante, su estar intermedio, cercano pero un poco más allá de lo conocido. Se abre el telón y allí estamos, dispuestos nuevamente a sorprendernos, en un guiño de ojos sincronizado de tres Lumières a través del tiempo. Magdalena Arau

A concentrated, powerful, infallible idea, and imagination giving it substance (that is, tentacles, ramifications, amorphous and unexpected, funny, unique, wonderful overflows). In one movement, film history folds and projects itself into the future with love and self-confidence. Tetsuo Lumiere is the master of ceremonies who acts as Reanimator, giving electric shocks to primitive cinema and achieving the miracle of bringing those old films back to life, restoring their ghostly power, their disconcerting character, their intermediate state, close but a little beyond the known. The curtain rises and there we are, ready once again to be surprised, in a synchronized wink from three Lumières across time. MA
