Sinopsis

¿Las amistades del secundario pueden durar toda la vida? Algo es seguro: pronto Aurore, Nours, Jeanne, Diane y las demás dirán adiós al internado, al río y a las fiestas en la montaña. Louison se cortará las rastas y la pequeña familia se disolverá. Para algunas no es la primera vez, y duele aún más…

Can high school friendships last a lifetime? (1977, París, Francia). Tras estudiar producción en la Fémis, produjo y dirigió el mediometraje Un monde sans femmes en 2011, por el que recibió numerosos premios. Luego dirigió varios largos, como Tonnerre, que fue exhibido en el Festival de Locarno.

Guillaume Brac filma con delicadeza los últimos días de un grupo de adolescentes en un internado de Drôme, al sureste de Francia, donde han construido una pequeña familia entre clases, habitaciones diminutas y paisajes marcados por antiguas murallas romanas y bosques abiertos. En este entorno, donde la rutina estudiantil se funde con la naturaleza, las experiencias iniciáticas (las primeras raves, las primeras protestas estudiantiles) conviven con la inminencia de la separación. Entre la distancia observacional y la narración en primera persona de los jóvenes, la película captura la melancolía del tránsito hacia la adultez y el peso de la incertidumbre en un mundo que parece desmoronarse y, sin embargo, invita a imaginar nuevas posibilidades. Guillaume Brac delicately films the last days of a group of teenagers in a boarding school in Drôme, in southeast France, where they have built a small family among classrooms, tiny rooms and landscapes marked by ancient Roman walls and open forests. In this environment, where student routine merges with nature, initiations (the first raves, the first student protests) coexist with the imminence of separation. Between observational distance and the first-person narration from the young people, the film captures the melancholy of the transition to adulthood and the weight of uncertainty in a world that seems to be crumbling and yet invites us to imagine new possibilities.
