Sinopsis

Una niña y un extraterrestre. Parecidos pero diferentes, cercanos y lejanos. La noche en que se conocieron, ambos nacieron. Aunque no puedan salvarse entre ellos, saber que existen el uno para el otro es suficiente.

A girl and an alien. Similar and different, near and far. On the night they met, both were born. Even if they cannot save each other, knowing they exist for one another is enough.

¿Quién no recuerda la noche en que llegó a su vida el marciano que le hizo cambiar su comprensión del cosmos para siempre? The Night You Came tiene la textura y los colores de una hoja garabateada en un jardín de infantes, irradia la sensación de un sueño pasado (de esos que no se quieren ir apenas despertamos) y la capacidad infantil de pintar un instante extraterrestre y lúdico como “niña conoce selenita”. Y nada más. ¿Cine experimental para niños? ¿Capricho realizado con una caja de lápices? ¿Encuentro del tercer tipo hecho con crayones? Todo junto al mismo tiempo. Who doesn't remember the night the Martian came into your life and changed your understanding of the cosmos forever? The Night You Came has the texture and colors of a sheet of paper scribbled in a kindergarten, it gives off the feeling of a past dream (the kind that doesn't want to go away as soon as we wake up) and the childlike ability to paint an extraterrestrial and playful instant as “girl meets selenite.” And nothing else. Experimental cinema for children? A whim made with a box of pencils? An encounter of the third kind made with crayons? All together at the same time.
