Sinopsis

Carla está triste porque su novio, Antoño, la dejó. Laura, su amiga, la pasa a buscar y le propone ir en bici a las afueras de la ciudad para despejarse.

Carla is sad because her boyfriend, Antoño, broke up with her. Her friend Laura comes to the rescue and suggests going for a bike ride in the outskirts of the city to clear her head.

A food engineer and musician born in Florencio Varela, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She started acting in 2022, as the protagonist of Last Resort, the opening film at Bafici 23. She directed the short film Bubble Tea (Bafici ’24).

Chica conoce a Antoño. Chica ama a Antoño. Chica pierde a Antoño. Sí, Antoño. Como Antonio, pero “con eñe como antaño pero con o”. Tamara Leschner sabe de componentes, de sílabas alteradas y de alteraciones silábicas, y en su primer largometraje reconfigura la comedia como un territorio de pequeñas aventuras: mínimas, posibles y a la vez absurdas, todas efervescentes, plenas de burbujas, como si un Kaurismäki improbable se volviera pop, parlanchín y felizmente low-fi. Chica todavía quiere a Antoño, y en ese trayecto —que avanza con la ligereza de un cuento y la precisión de un mecanismo secreto— Leschner construye una pequeña maravilla, de esas que encuentran en lo mínimo una forma de darles un nombre nuevo a las cosas, y que bien merece ser vista por todos los Antoños del mundo. Tamara Leschner knows about components, altered syllables and syllabic alterations, and in her first feature film she reconfigures comedy as a realm of small adventures: minimal, possible, and at the same time absurd, all effervescent, full of bubbles, as if an unlikely Kaurismäki had turned pop, talkative, and happily low-fi. Girl still loves Antoño, and along that journey—which unfolds with the lightness of a fairy tale and the precision of a secret mechanism—Leschner crafts a little marvel, the kind that finds in the smallest details a way to give things a new name, and which deserves to be seen by all the Antoños of the world.
