Mortemburgo es una película atemporal, que parece viajar al cine de los 70 para revivir algunos modos tan difíciles de replicar, de esos que suelen fallar casi siempre. Bueno, en esta película no, sino que se actualizan, no trabajan por nostalgia sino en presente, reconstruyendo un pasado neblinoso, errático, inasible. Personajes misteriosos, intrigas, con el paisaje urbano devenido volúmenes y líneas, con el eclecticismo arquitectónico que podría ser la marca distintiva de esta ciudad traducido en clave noir. Película de texturas fotográficas, de proyecciones, de rostros anclados en otro tiempo, de música en fuga y misterio, que apuesta con absoluta convicción por el estilo orquestando sus decisiones con precisión y justeza.
