Más ambiciosa que Muertes y maravillas (película anterior de Soto), La corazonada mantiene su naturaleza diáfana, su serenidad de fábula, su ligera tristeza. La idea de una nueva oportunidad en la vida, quizá la última que se presente, está filtrada por una emoción que aparece en los momentos más inesperados (ver la escena de la lata y el beso). Hay también algo de comedia a lo Cristián Sánchez, con sus felices enredos y su rechazo a la sujeción psicologista. Por otro lado, el juego del “cine dentro del cine" tiene poco que ver con las maniobras veleidosas de aquellos cuya habilidad para el malabarismo tiende a opacar cualquier sentimiento humano. Aquí el cine no solo exhibe la verdad profunda del mundo transmutada, sino que también es capaz de crearla a la medida de los personajes. David Obarrio

More ambitious than Deaths and Wonders (Soto's previous film), A Heart as Willing maintains its diaphanous nature, its fable-like serenity, its slight sadness. The idea of a new opportunity in life, perhaps the last one that will come along, is filtered through an emotion that appears at the most unexpected moments (see the scene with the can and the kiss). There is also something of Cristián Sánchez's comedy, with its happy entanglements and rejection of psychological constraints. On the other hand, the “film within a film” game has little to do with the capricious maneuvers of those whose juggling skills tend to overshadow any human feeling. Here, cinema not only exhibits the profound truth of the transmuted world, but is also capable of creating it to suit the characters. DO
