Sinopsis

En los Alpes del norte, Anne, Hélène y Suzanne se turnan para cuidar un refugio de montaña. A lo largo de las estaciones, los excursionistas llegan y parten. Las historias florecen y se desvanecen, y cada una enfrenta el silencio.

In the northern Alps, Anne, Hélène and Suzanne take turns tending a mountain hut. Through the seasons, hikers come and go. Stories bloom and fade, leaving each of them facing the silence.

(Thonon-les-Bains, Francia). Licenciada en Dirección de Cine en el INSAS de Bélgica y miembro del colectivo de cineastas Voa Films de Bruselas. En 2016 recibió el Leopardo de Oro al Mejor Cortometraje Internacional en el Festival de Cine de Locarno por La plenitud de los tiempos.

(Thonon-les-Bains, France). She holds a degree in Film Directing from INSAS in Belgium and is a member of the Voa Films collective of filmmakers in Brussels. In 2016, she received the Golden Leopard for Best International Short Film at the Locarno Film Festival for La plenitud de los tiempos.

Un cine de las cosas primordiales, de lo material e incluso de espíritus, de lo invisible y también de lo implacable, de la soledad y del paso de las estaciones. Cine con aire —de montaña—, cine aireado en más de un sentido; película de paisajes y gente (y actrices magníficas), imbuida de una fluidez natural (o perteneciente a la naturaleza), cargada de amabilidad e incluso cariño. Unos cuerpos se recortan con una cualidad silvestre en medio del bosque y otros cuerpos cansados son recibidos en el refugio, o buscan aislarse en otros refugios. Película unida por la montaña, por la soledad o el aislamiento y también por una especie de solidaridad y la empatía del estar ahí, en esos parajes, lejos del mundanal ruido. A cinema of primordial things, of the material and even of spirits, of the invisible and also of the relentless, of loneliness and the passing of the seasons. Cinema with an air—of the mountains—, cinema that is airy in more ways than one; a film of landscapes and people (and magnificent actresses), imbued with a natural (or nature-belonging) fluidity, charged with kindness and even affection. Some bodies stand out with a wild quality in the middle of the forest, while other tired bodies are welcomed into the refuge, or seek isolation in other refuges. A film united by the mountains, by solitude or isolation, and also by a kind of solidarity and empathy of being there, in those places, far from the madding crowd. Cinema resplendent with beauty without great embellishment, longing for other lives. JPF
