Se trata de una película que recibe ecos del cine de los setenta, aunque sin su desazón programática ni su tristeza de postal vieja. Lo que hay acá es más bien un tono, un modo de conducir su narración, como por fuera del paso habitual del cine contemporáneo de enigma. Quizá sea el clima costero de pueblo que se contagia a la película y le da esa pátina de austeridad, de colores robados al otoño. En cualquier caso, hay una especie de trama policial que parece suspendida en una incesante espera, como si el cine recuperara para sí la desazón infinita de lo inconcluso, de lo que se demora hasta la incandescencia.
