Sinopsis

El músico de blues Al Cook vive rodeado de recuerdos en un departamento detenido en el tiempo. Cuando su hogar queda amenazado por la demolición, resurge un sueño largamente postergado.

Blues musician Al Cook lives surrounded by memories in an apartment frozen in time. When his home is threatened with demolition, a long-forgotten dream resurfaces.

El hombre más solitario de Viena es, además, un señor acosado por unos matones que quieren que se vaya de su casa, para terminar con la vida de un edificio hermoso y que de esa forma pueda pasar al reciclaje inmobiliario. Y para, inevitablemente —como daño colateral—, terminar con el modo de vida de nuestro Al Cook, un bluesero de los que se llaman de otros tiempos, como su jopo, su vestimenta y sus rutinas. Tizza Covi y Rainer Frimmel (Foco en Bafici 2010) siguen su camino cabalmente cinematográfico, decidido hace tiempo: contar relatos cercanos de seres singulares, acercarse con convicción y elegancia a historias de vida, ya sea para hacer sus documentales de antaño o estas ficciones híbridas en las que late un corazón, uno real y recubierto de empatía. And to, inevitably—as collateral damage—put an end to the way of life of our Al Cook, a bluesman from a bygone era, as evidenced by his pompadour, his attire and his routines.
