A documentary film that brings together original interviews, performances, footage and videos to tell the story of Pulp and their contemporaries' journey from the darkest industrial depths of Steel City to the pinnacle of pop.

Junio de 1995. A una semana de Glastonbury, The Stone Roses cancela su participación –como cabeza de cartel– en el festival. Los organizadores buscan desesperadamente un reemplazo. “Nuestro manager nos dijo que estaba entre Rod Stewart y nosotros”, cuenta Candida Doyle. Fueron ellos, fue Pulp. Y fue histórico; no solo por los 80 mil espectadores, no solo por el final con “Common People”, sino, precisa y redundantemente, por la historia de Jarvis Cocker y los suyos. June 1995. One week before Glastonbury, the Stone Roses cancel their participation -as headliners- at the festival. The organizers are desperately seeking a replacement. “Our manager told us it was between us and Rod Stewart,” says Candida Doyle. It was them, it was Pulp. And it was historic; not only because of the 80 thousand spectators, not only because of the finale with “Common People,” but, precisely and redundantly, because of the history of Jarvis Cocker and his band. Eve Wood rewinds the long decade of Pulp's obscurity to think lucidly about what it was that changed -in the band, in rock, in English society- that allowed the deformed, the mistakes, the misfits of yesterday to finally have their glory days.
