Sinopsis

En un pueblo remoto del norte de España, una casa de familia sigue cerrada con tres candados. Hace 70 años, en la plaza donde cada año clavan un pino en una fiesta medieval, mataron a una bisabuela y su hija. Un doble femicidio a la vista de todos, silenciado hasta ahora.

In a remote village in northern Spain, a family house is still locked with three padlocks. 70 years ago, in the square where every year they nail a pine tree in a medieval festival, they killed a great-grandmother and her daughter. A double femicide in full view of everyone, silenced until now.

Estudió cine en el CIEVYC. Fue docente y expositora en prestigiosas instituciones. Entre sus largometrajes se encuentran Yo no sé qué me han hecho tus ojos (Bafici ‘03) y Gilda, no me arrepiento de este amor (2016).

Reseña / Review

Esta es una película de portentosa elaboración, muy precisa en sus formas e intensidad. Ahora queda rodar la película sobre esa gente de Soria que ha quedado desvalida de aburrimiento después de la visita de Muñoz. Esa posibilidad no hace sino potenciar esta película extraordinaria, de tragedia lejana en el tiempo pero personal: drama de individuos, difícil de reducir a un bloque histórico sin traicionar la verdad de ese dolor. Hay un excelente paralelo con La laguna negra, basada en un poema de Machado: en la última parte, con la directora leyendo el expediente, hay un montaje extraordinario entre escenas de la película, imágenes de los lugares reales donde ocurrieron los hechos y la lectura, de una tensión abrumadora. This is a film of portentous elaboration, very precise in its forms and intensity. Now what remains to be made is the film about those people from Soria who have been left helpless with boredom after Muñoz's visit. That possibility only enhances this extraordinary film, a tragedy far away in time but personal: a drama of individuals, difficult to reduce to a historical block without betraying the truth of that sorrow. There is an excellent parallel with La laguna negra, based on a poem by Machado: in the final part, with the director reading the file, there is an extraordinary montage of scenes from the film, images of the real places where the events occurred and the reading, of an overwhelming tension.
