Sinopsis

A partir de una frase de Kira Muratova, Isa Willinger investiga si las mujeres hacen un cine más crudo. Entrevista a directoras y cineastas no binarias que abordan violencia, trauma y poder, y se pregunta qué lugar ocupan el género y la mirada dentro y fuera de la pantalla.
A phrase by Kira Muratova causes Kira Muratova to investigate whether women make harsher films or not. She interviews great women and nonbinary directors that tackle trauma and power, and asks herself what part does gender and the female gaze play both on- and off-screen.

Galardonada documentalista cuyo largo Hi, AI - Love Stories from the Future ganó el Premio Max Ophüls. Estudió dirección de documentales en la Universidad de Televisión y Cine de Múnich y tiene una maestría en estudios eslavos, estudios estadounidenses y sociología.
An award-winning documentary filmmaker whose feature Hi, AI – Love Stories from the Future won the Max Ophüls Award. She studied documentary filmmaking at the University of Television and Film Munich and holds an MA in Slavic studies, American studies and sociology.
El título lo dice todo. Se trata de una película sin piedad: hay que tomar la cámara, salir a filmar, contra todo y contra todos. Pero no es solamente rodar una película, pues para hacerlo hay que tener una predisposición de espíritu previa que permita afrontar toda clase de obstáculos y objeciones. Estas son mujeres que filman, que no tienen piedad, que salen al mundo pertrechadas para recibir impugnaciones y rechazos. Isa Willinger recoge el testimonio de mujeres cineastas y ofrece el suyo propio, su película sin piedad ni permisos sobre sus camaradas de armas, a la vez retrato de directoras e informe sobre las condiciones del territorio. But it’s not just about shooting a film; to do so, you must first have the right mindset to face all kinds of obstacles and objections. These are women who film, who show no mercy, who go out into the world prepared to face challenges and rejection. Isa Willinger collects the testimonies of women filmmakers and offers her own—her film, made without mercy or concessions, about her comrades-in-arms, serving both as a portrait of female directors and a report on the conditions of the field.
