Paternostro volcó una década de experiencia en el campo del cine publicitario para realizar este film profundamente antipublicitario, impregnado de la sensación de asfixia que le producían no solo su medio de vida sino también algunos extremos de la cultura snob del período. Como escribió el realizador Alberto Fischerman, “Mosaico es una maravilla de arquitectura, una deslumbrante textura sobre la cual se imprime la huella de la protagonista; un hallazgo formal y dramático de primer orden”. Entre sus múltiples audacias, el film realiza una suerte de remake de Las siete oportunidades con Federico Luppi en lugar de Buster Keaton.

Paternostro brought a decade of experience in the field of advertising cinema to make this profoundly anti-advertising film, impregnated with the feeling of suffocation he felt not only from his source of livelihood, but also from some extremes of the snobbish culture of the period.
