Sinopsis

El registro del casamiento de la directora dispara una historia familiar oscura. Entre realidad y ficción, el relato avanza con la voz en off de su tía, guardiana de un secreto cuya revelación podría destruirla.

The footage from the director's wedding triggers a dark family history. Between reality and fiction, the story unfolds with the voiceover narration of her aunt, guardian of a secret whose revelation could destroy her.

Emi Castañeda

(1979, Buenos Aires, Argentina). Creció en Euskadi. Realizadora y montajista formada en FADU, UPV/EHU y el Programa de Cine UTDT. Dirigió el corto Virus . Su práctica en artes visuales incluye Syntocinon (Mención Premio Itaú). Es cofundadora de la asociación de editores EDA.

(1979, Buenos Aires, Argentina). She grew up in the Basque Country. A filmmaker and editor trained at FADU, UPV/EHU, and the UTDT Film Program. She directed the short film Virus. Her visual arts practice includes Syntocinon (Itaú Award Honorable Mention). She is co-founder of the EDA editors' association.

Una historia contada brevemente a partir de diversas torceduras y tensiones. Vemos una fiesta, escuchamos a alguien que está allí y que habla de alguien que no está en la fiesta. También habla con desdén del evento y de una de las protagonistas. En ese hablar hay una gracia oscura, maligna. Este cortometraje es una comedia negra, o no es comedia en absoluto. Es un corto de torceduras y tensiones. De montaje de intenciones y efectos precisos y de imágenes que parecen cercanas —o no, porque ese tipo de fiestas necesitan de la excepcionalidad, o de cierta lejanía y de una imagen que no sea de alta definición— y de una voz fundamental, una voz rarificada, una voz columna vertebral. A story told briefly through various twists and tensions. We see a party, we hear someone who is talking about some other person who is not at the party. They also speak with disdain about the event and one of the protagonists. There is a dark, evil humor in their words. This short film is a black comedy, or perhaps it is not a comedy at all. It is a short film of twists and tensions. A montage of precise intentions and effects and images that seem clos (or not, because these kinds of parties require exceptionality, or a certain distance and an image that is not high definition) and a fundamental voice, a rarefied voice, a backbone voice. Yes, a tense, twisted backbone, X-rayed by this hyper-concentrated story. JPF
