Sinopsis

Érica busca una nueva vida junto a su hija Flor, pero todo cambia cuando Pedro, su ex, sale de prisión. Aunque parece tranquilo, sus impulsos oscuros desatan un torbellino familiar.

Erica is looking for a new life with her daughter Flor, but everything changes when Pedro, her ex, is released from prison. Although he seems calm, his dark impulses unleash a family whirlwind.

(1963, Argentina). Graduado en cine en IDAC, escribió y dirigió Que lo pague la noche (2004), 36 horas (2019) y Cuando oscurece (2022), con la que ganó a Mejor Dirección en Gramado y Trieste.

Nestór Mazzini termina la trilogía Autoengaño contando un final, uno posible, cotidiano, demoledor. Y les da cierre a estos personajes que nacían en 36 horas con problemas económicos y una familia desarmada, y que se convierten hoy en una épica amarga, sentida, impactante, urgente y valiente como pocas en el cine argentino reciente. Familia, violencia, sistema judicial, la fragilidad y lo demente: todo sobre la mesa, ardiendo, todo respirado con el dolor del sinsentido (como telaraña que todo lo cubre) y parado sobre el hielo fino de la verosimilitud con nuestro mundo. Una clase maestra de construcción de personajes, entendiéndolos como habitantes de la audacia de contar lo terrible con austeridad. Juan Manuel Domínguez

Néstor Mazzini ends the Autoengaño trilogy by telling an ending, a possible, ordinary, devastating one. And he brings closure to these characters that were born in 36 hours with economic problems and a broken family, and that today become a bitter, heartfelt, shocking, urgent and courageous epic like few others in recent Argentine cinema. Family, violence, the judicial system, fragility and the insane--everything on the table, on fire, all breathed with the pain of meaninglessness (as an all-encompassing spider's web) and standing on the thin ice of verisimilitude with our world. A masterclass in character construction, understanding them as inhabitants of the audacity to capture the terrible with austerity. JMD
