Sinopsis
Don Galván se levanta temprano, hace ejercicio, desayuna y se dispone a encender su viejo calefactor a kerosene. Pero la mecha no prende y necesita ser reemplazada: el problema es que ese modelo ya no se fabrica.
Don Galván wakes up early in the morning, exercises a bit, eats breakfast, and is about to light up his old kerosene heater. But the wick can’t be lit and it has to be replaced. The problem is this particular model of heater is no longer produced.

Produjo y dirigió más de 60 películas independientes, entre ellas, Expiación (Bafici ‘18), ITUZAINGO V3RIT4 (Bafici ‘19), Sean eternxs (Bafici ‘22) y COMBO15 (Bafici ‘24).
He was born in Ituzaingó, where he has always lived and filmed without the need to move, not even to recreate a jungle or a post-industrial apocalyptic world. He produced and directed more than 60 independent films, including Expiación (Bafici ‘18), ITUZAINGO V3RIT4 (Bafici ‘19), Sean eternxs (Bafici ‘22) y COMBO15 (Bafici ‘24).

Una mañana fría, Don Galván —jubilado que vive con su mujer en una modesta casa de los suburbios— descubre que su viejo calentador a kerosén no enciende. El repuesto parece imposible de conseguir. Decidido a encontrarlo, inicia una búsqueda que lo lleva al encuentro de una serie de personajes y situaciones inesperadas, desde una masajista china hasta un grupo de cazadores. Entre viajes en colectivo, remis o camionetas de reparto, el recorrido se vuelve cada vez más incierto: la mecha ya no se fabrica y el mundo parece haber cambiado demasiado desde los tiempos que Galván conocía. Filmada en Morón y sus alrededores, la película se construye a partir de esos recorridos cotidianos y, con pulso documental, registra también lugares en sujeto a transformación: estaciones, calles, paradas de colectivo que desaparecen, casas o puertas que incluso sus propios vecinos hoy pueden tardar en reconocer.
One cold morning, Don Galván—a senior citizen who lives with his wife in a modest house in the suburbs—discovers that his old kerosene heater won’t start. The replacement part seems impossible to find. Determined to track it down, he embarks on a quest that leads him to encounter a series of unexpected characters and situations, from a Chinese masseuse to a group of hunters. Between trips by bus, car service or delivery vans, the journey grows increasingly uncertain: the wick is no longer being manufactured, and the world seems to have changed too much since the days Galván once knew. Filmed in Morón and its surroundings, the film is built around these everyday journeys and, with a documentary feel, also captures places undergoing transformation: stations, streets and bus stops that disappear, as well as houses and doors that even their own neighbors might now struggle to recognize.
