Y las circunstancias de Yael son singularmente apremiantes: el tiempo para resolver su crisis habitacional privada coincide con la solemnidad y el silencio respetuoso de Yom Hazikarón, cuando Tel Aviv y todo Israel se quedan quietos. Renting a place to live is a problem common to the inhabitants of any large city on the planet; an undertaking somewhere between the stressful and the nightmarish, always forced by circumstances. And Yael's circumstances are uniquely pressing—the time to resolve her private housing crisis coincides with the solemnity and respectful silence of Yom Hazikarón, when Tel Aviv and all of Israel stands still. Following the against-the-clock, against-the-grain adventures of her green-clad protagonist, Vaknin constructs a modern tale - concise, fast-paced, expansive- about the contradictions and collisions of life in (her) society.
