Filmada en Grecia, esta fábula animalista nos invita a ver el mundo y la existencia a través de los ojos de la gallina que le da título. Un ser sobrenaturalmente perceptivo, que no habla pero que todo parece entender. A nuestra heroína emplumada todo le ocurre: la vida, la maternidad, la supervivencia, el duelo. As if Chicken Run, Peter Lord and Nick Park's stop-motion odyssey, and Eo, Jerzy Skolimowski's film about a brave donkey, had had a child; this is the latest opus from Hungarian director Pálfi, one of the most unique voices in his country's cinema. Filmed in Greece, this animal fable invites us to see the world and existence through the eyes of the hen of the title. A supernaturally perceptive being that does not speak but seems to understand everything. Our feathered heroine goes through a lot: life, motherhood, survival, grief. Cackling, she pursues freedom. The invitation to empathize with the creature is so successful that it not only makes you want to leave the chicken and eggs alone, but also to give yourself over to flight. GS
