Sinopsis

Unos meses antes de morir, Truffaut había comenzado a compartir la historia de su juventud con su amigo Claude de Givray. Sin embargo, nunca terminó la obra autobiográfica. Este film revela una parte de esta última narración.

A few months before he died, Truffaut had started to share the story of his youth with his friend Claude de Givray. However, he never finished the autobiographical work. This film reveals part of this last account.

François Truffaut, objeto de un documental en el que su voz es interpretada por Louis Garrel (que como actor interpretó a Godard pero como director es devoto de San Truffaut). Artista de la emoción, artista de la sensibilidad, artista de la narración, artista –en suma– del cine, artista autobiográfico, reflexivo, romántico, el que (nos) enseñó el camino de la cinefilia. Un camino propio: el de buscar ser hijo del cine, el de escaparse a veces del cine para ir a la escuela. Hay muchas peripecias vitales y pareceres en cartas, en palabras enviadas de un lado a otro, y de una relación a otra. Este imperdible documental de David Teboul es una hermosa manera, entretenida y emocionante, de pasar un rato más con nuestro querido François. Javier Porta Fouz

François Truffaut, the subject of a documentary in which his voice is played by Louis Garrel (who as an actor played Godard but as a director is a devotee of Saint Truffaut). An artist of emotion, an artist of sensibility, an artist of storytelling, an artist -in short- of cinema, an autobiographical, thoughtful, romantic artist, the one who taught (us) the path of cinephilia. A path of his own: that of seeking to be a son of the movies, of sometimes escaping from the movies to go to school. There are many vicissitudes of life and opinions in letters, in words sent from one side to the other, and from one relationship to another. This must-see documentary by David Teboul is a beautiful, entertaining and moving way to spend some more time with our beloved François. JPF
