Sinopsis

Milo, un niño de 9 años, sueña con escapar de su casa en un pueblo lejano y viajar a la gran ciudad. Para lograrlo, idea un plan que lo pondrá en camino hacia su independencia.
Milo, a 9-year-old boy, dreams of escaping his home in a remote village and traveling to the big city. To achieve this, he devises a plan that will set him on the path to independence.

Leonardo Favio siempre se lanzó al vacío, no sin antes apoyar el talón en lo popular. La ópera prima de Lorenzo Ferro y Lucas Vignale recorre a Favio lejos de lo férreo: parecen —y lo digo como milagro— dos niños saqueando una iglesia. Es decir, vuelven a encontrar la aventura de la excentricidad, del mito del pueblo convertido en mito del héroe y, como Luis Ortega, tienen mirada de águila para lo tenazmente marginal y lo radicalmente único. Ferro y Vignale son herejes de lo verosímil, y ahí caminan sobre cierta agua que hace el cine argentino: se animan a la estampita, al candor, al misterio, a lo sagrado con uñas sucias, y crean, quizás, la primera gran fábula de San Favio en el siglo XXI. Leonardo Favio always took a leap of faith, but not before testing the waters of popular culture. The debut film by Lorenzo Ferro and Lucas Vignale shows Favio far from his usual stern self: they seem (and I say this as if it were a miracle) like two children ransacking a church. In other words, they rediscover the adventure of eccentricity, of the myth of the people turned into the myth of the hero, and, like Luis Ortega, they have an eagle eye for the tenaciously marginal and the radically unique. Ferro and Vignale are heretics of the plausible, and they succeed where Argentine cinema usually fails: they dare to go for the prayer card, the candor, the mystery, the sacred with dirty nails, and create, perhaps, the first great San Favio fable of the 21st century.
