Sinopsis

El Tao existe, pero solo en trance. En trance, contiene una imagen. En trance, contiene un objeto. El metaverso puede ser una idea infinita, un cubo difuso, una casa para vivir y otras formas de vida… infinitas posibilidades de regeneración.

The Tao exists, but only in a trance. In a trance, it contains an image. In a trance, it contains an object. The metaverse can be an infinite idea, a fuzzy cube, a house to live in and other forms of life... infinite possibilities for regeneration.

Dale vive en Nueva York y se desempeña en el ámbito de la programación y los videojuegos. Hongxiang actualmente vive en Shanghai y trabaja principalmente en arte multimedia, instalación de esculturas, películas conceptuales, pintura y caligrafía china.

Toda imagen es posible hoy. ¿Cómo generar una alteración lejana al chascarrillo viral y que viva cerca de la revolución? Zhou Dale y Zhou Hongxiang toman la señal de ajuste televisiva, su epidermis de arcoíris brutalista, y le aplican el tao chino –algo que aquí implica el desorden natural de la existencia de esas franjas–. Aglutina y triunfarás: Crash-Huang xi hu xi podría ser una instalación, un video de TikTok, y decide ser cine, decide que la pantalla grande sea lo que define su sentido primero. Ahí está su elegancia digna de Gremlin con cerebro, en la destrucción más sincera y que quiere lo esencial: una forma diferente de civilización capaz de sacudir el prisma más básico. Any image is possible today. How do we generate an alteration far removed from the viral joke and closer to a revolution? Zhou Dale and Zhou Hongxiang take the television test pattern, its brutalist rainbow epidermis, and apply to it the Chinese tao—something that here implies the natural disorder of the existence of those stripes. Agglutinate and you will triumph: Crash-Huang xi hu xi could be an installation, a TikTok video, and it decides to be cinema, it decides that the big screen is what defines its first sense.
