Sinopsis

La ciudad parpadea, se agita. En un impass se serena y frenéticamente convulsiona. Sus habitantes sufren el agobio de la tecnología. El flujo de estímulos los anestesian y se sumergen en una atmósfera lisérgica. Lucien llega a la ciudad y es absorbido por la noche porteña.

The city flickers and shakes. In an impasse it becomes serene and frantically convulses. Its inhabitants suffer the burden of technology. The flow of stimuli anesthetizes them and they are submerged in a lysergic atmosphere. Lucien arrives in the city and is absorbed by the Porteño night.

Delfina Plácido

(1992, La Plata, Argentina). An audiovisual creator with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the Arts’ Department of the UNLP. Co-founder of Sustancia Audiovisual, an independent production company devoted to music videos and live sessions.

¿Cuál es la caza? Imágenes y sonidos, momentos del centro de Buenos Aires. Transporte, viaje, movimiento, publicidades, luces, gente que come tan al paso que aun dentro de un local no se desabriga. Una ciudad que se mueve en una contemporaneidad extraña, con ecos del pasado que ni siquiera se distinguen como tales, que la vuelven singular en diversos sentidos. La directora Delfina Plácido no solamente capta el ruido, la música y los centelleos sino que opera con decisión sobre el montaje y construye sentido, delinea una ciudad –o una zona– representada en un recorte que se puede reconocer, aceptar o discutir en su pertinencia o pertenencia, tanto con respecto a la realidad como en su representación, percepción o deformación. What is the hunt? Images and sounds, moments from downtown Buenos Aires. Transportation, travel, movement, advertisements, lights, people who eat fast food so fast that even inside a place they don't take off their coats. A city that moves in a strange contemporaneity, with echoes of the past that are not even distinguished as such, which make it singular in more than one sense. Director Delfina Plácido not only captures the noise, the music and the sparkles, but also operates decisively on the editing and constructs meaning, delineates a city -or an area- represented in a selection that can be recognized, accepted or discussed in its pertinence or belonging, both with respect to reality and in its representation, perception or deformation.
