Sinopsis

Un recorte de la vida de Karen “Burbuja” Carabajal, una boxeadora argentina que peleará por el título mundial. Mientras tanto, da sus primeras sesiones como psicóloga, vive su maternidad y afronta la relación de pareja que tiene con Abel.

A snippet of the life of Karen “Burbuja” Carabajal, an Argentine boxer who will fight for the world title. In the meantime, she gives her first sessions as a psychologist, lives her maternity and faces the relationship she has with Abel.

Reseña / Review

Burbuja tiene una particularidad, y es que su protagonista no es la que relata la historia, sino que es ella la que escucha el relato de su propia vida para brindar testimonio exclusivamente a través de las imágenes. Es como si fuese una curiosa sesión de terapia donde quedan plasmadas las preguntas y los hitos más importantes de su vida personal y de su carrera profesional: por qué eligió ser psicóloga, el miedo a que su carrera como boxeadora quedara trunca por su maternidad, el camino hacia su pelea más importante. Narrada con gran eficacia, con la emoción subterránea de los grandes relatos, casi siempre en un bello blanco y negro, vemos cómo la dedicación y la fuerza de Burbuja son cifras ineludibles de su vida. Bubble has a peculiarity, and it is that its protagonist is not the one telling the story, but, rather, she is the one who listens to the story of her own life to give testimony exclusively through the images. It's as if it were a funny therapy session in which the most important questions and milestones of her personal life and professional career are captured: why she chose to become a psychologist, the fear that her career as a boxer would be cut short by her motherhood, the road to her most important fight. Told with great efficiency, with the subterranean emotion of great stories, almost always in beautiful black and white, we see how Bubble's dedication and strength are inescapable figures in her life.
