Marva Nabili

Nació en Irán, y estudió cine en Estados Unidos antes de regresar a Irán, donde escribió y dirigió The Sealed Soil en vísperas de la Revolución. La película estuvo prohibida en Irán durante muchos años, pero posteriormente obtuvo reconocimiento internacional por su sutil crítica al patriarcado y su realismo poético.

She was born in Iran, and studied film in the United States before returning to Iran, where she wrote and directed The Sealed Soil on the eve of the Iranian Revolution. The film was banned in Iran for many years but later gained international recognition for its subtle critique of patriarchy and its poetic realism.
