Sinopsis
Tres generaciones de hombres, abuelo, padre e hijo, atraviesan deseos distintos: amor, éxito e inmortalidad. Sus vidas, marcadas por obsesiones y cuerpos llevados al límite, trazan un retrato familiar tan singular como perturbador.
Three generations of men, grandfather, father, son, experience different desires: love, success, and immortality. Their lives, marked by obsession and bodies brought to the limit, trace a family portrait that is as unique as it is disturbing.

(1974, Budapest, Hungría). Graduado de la carrera de cine por la Academia de Teatro y Cine de Budapest en 2000. Dirigió varios largometrajes, entre ellos, Hukkle (2002, Bafici ‘03), Taxidermia (2006) y La voz de su maestro (Bafici ‘19).

Se puede expresar así: Pálfi es un cineasta único y sus películas no se parecen a nada. Suena exagerado, pero algo de eso hay. Taxidermia no es una película, sino varias películas, o una que parece muchas. Entre apetitos esenciales de la criatura humana —el sexo, la comida y la búsqueda de afecto como signos irrevocables de la especie—, el director elabora un sorprendente mapa en el que caben todo tipo de fealdades y de creaciones sublimes. Las miniaturas prodigiosas de Hans Christian Andersen dan pie a un concurso de jóvenes voluminosos que comen hasta reventar; el comercio carnal entre humanos y animales provee al mundo de seres imposibles cuya melancolía se vuelve condena. It can be expressed this way: Pálfi is a unique filmmaker and his films are unlike anything else. It sounds exaggerated, but there is some truth to it. Taxidermia is not one film, but several films, or one that seems like many. Among the essential appetites of human beings—sex, food and the search for affection as irrevocable signs of the species—, the director crafts a remarkable map that encompasses all kinds of ugliness and sublime creations. Hans Christian Andersen's prodigious miniatures give rise to a contest of voluminous young people who eat until they burst; carnal commerce between humans and animals provides the world with impossible beings whose melancholy becomes a curse. Pálfi does not make films for the viewer to rest their eyes, but to open them wide in amazement. MR
