Sinopsis

Décadas después de haber desaparecido, una condesa vampira reaparece en Viena y emprende una búsqueda entre palacios y ruinas junto a sus aliados para encontrar un libro capaz de destruir todo mal, incluso a los vampiros como ella.
Decades after disappearing, a vampire countess reappears in Vienna and embarks on a search through palaces and ruins with her allies to find a book capable of destroying all evil, even vampires like herself.

(1942, Alemania). Cineasta y fotógrafa, estudió en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Munich. Forma parte de la Academia de Cine Europeo y en 2019 fue invitada a formar parte de la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas que otorga los premios Oscar.

Con más de ochenta años, Ulrike Ottinger presenta una película de vampiros, escrita por ella y por la ganadora del Premio Nobel de Literatura Elfriede Jelinek. A long-contemplated and eagerly awaited film, it captivates us from the very start with a sequence that lingers in the memory for its extravagance and magnetic quality. And there is much more: Viennese pleasures, blood, saturated colors and hotels, decadence, opulence, and glamour. And there is a festive vampire gathering with the power of a B-movie, the power of social commentary and the power of genre. A carefree, farcical tone runs through this Mitteleuropa film, this cinematic tale understood as hedonism not without reflection—or a thirst for blood.
