Sinopsis

Jessi está a punto de ir presa por diez años. Pero Lu y Pau, su hermana y su mejor amiga, tienen un plan: asaltar tres financieras en un solo día para juntar dólares y coimear al fiscal. Un planazo.

Jessi is about to go to prison for ten years. But Lu and Pau, her sister and her best friend, have a plan: to rob three finance companies in a single day to get the money to bribe the prosecutor. A great plan.

Director y guionista de Diablo (2011, Mejor Película en el Festival de Mar del Plata), Kryptonita (2015), el corto Pinball (2020) y Punto rojo (Premio del Jurado en Biarritz 2022). Ganó el Premio Nacional de Cultura y el Cóndor de Plata por la serie de TV Nafta Súper.

Nicanor Loreti sabe tirar los dados del género: no hay suerte en su cine, hay sabiduría sobre normas, reglas, y las herejías y los amores que estas generan. Loreti construye una oda al thriller de asalto y a la comedia buddy-buddy, y lo hace de la mano de Jazmín Stuart y Lorena Vega quienes, como siempre, dan pasos de siete leguas a la hora de agigantar personajes, de salir de rincones obvios para lucirse en cada pelea, cada frase y cada línea. Vega sigue confirmando su firmeza para ser nuestra Uma Thurman, capaz de belleza y cine en una sola frase. Es el mundo que Loreti les crea a sus Thelma y Louise el que comprueba que no hay límites para el cine argentino, solo hay ganas de apropiarse del género. Juan Manuel Domínguez

Nicanor Loreti knows how to roll the dice of genre: there is no luck in his films, only wisdom about norms, rules, and heresies and the loves they generate. Loreti builds an ode to heist thrillers and buddy movies, and he does so with the help of Jazmín Stuart and Lorena Vega who, as always, take giant strides when it comes to enlarging characters, stepping out of obvious corners to shine in every fight, every phrase, every line. Vega continues to confirm her status as our Uma Thurman, capable of beauty and cinema in a single line. It is the world that Loreti creates for his Thelma and Louise that proves that there are no limits to Argentine cinema, only a desire to appropriate the genre. JMD
