Sinopsis

En Belo Horizonte, una familia afrobrasileña intenta reconstruir su vida tras una pérdida reciente. Entre rutinas, silencios y recuerdos, el hijo menor percibe un secreto dentro de la casa que nadie escucha, hasta que el duelo obliga a todos a enfrentarlo juntos.

In Belo Horizonte, a black Brazilian family tries to rebuild their home after a recent loss. Caught between routine, silence and memories, the youngest child perceives a secret within the house that no one listens, until mourning forces all of them to face it together.

Grace Passô

(1980). Directora, guionista y actriz brasileña. Cuenta con una larga trayectoria teatral y recibió numerosos premios, entre ellos, a Mejor Actriz en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Turín (Italia) y dos veces en el Festival de Cine de Brasilia y el Festival Internacional de Cine de Río de Janeiro. Nosso segredo es su primer largometraje.

(1980) A Brazilian director, screenwriter and actress. She has a long career in theater and has received many awards for her work. As a film actress, she was awarded Best Actress at the Torino International Film Festival (Italy), and was twice awarded at Brasília FF and Rio de Janeiro IFF. Our Secret is her first feature film.

Las familias y el nosotros, lo nuestro, nuestras vivencias. Un nosotros que se vuelve de muchos puntos, de muchas aristas, de mucha conexión cuanta más gente habite una casa, de forma permanente o pasajera: así son las redes. Más cansancio, más contacto, más refugio, más diversión, más circulación, más trabajo, más vida, más emociones puestas en juego y más ayuda. Hay una pérdida en un pasado reciente y hay un niño —el más pequeño del hogar— que se mueve con su lógica energía y que se detiene para escuchar más allá, para soñar y para ser el presente y el futuro pero sin desligarse del pasado. Grace Passô confía en los diálogos, en la interacción actoral —o, mejor dicho, de los personajes que respiran— y en el cine como posibilidad vital de entrar en una casa y en sus secretos. Families and the "us," what belongs to us, our experiences. An “us” that becomes multifaceted, multi-edged, and highly connected the more people inhabit a home, whether permanently or temporarily: that's how networks operate. More fatigue, more contact, more refuge, more fun, more movement, more work, more life, more emotions at stake, and more help. There is a loss in the recent past and there is a child (the youngest in the home) who moves with his logical energy and stops to listen beyond, to dream and to be the present and the future, but without detaching himself from the past. Grace Passô trusts in dialogue, in the interaction between actors (or, rather, between characters who breathe) and in cinema as a vital opportunity to enter a home and its secrets. JPF
