Es cineasta y escritor. Dirigió numerosos largometrajes, entre ellos, Aún me quedan balas para dibujar y Escoréu. 24 d’avientu de 1937, ambos proyectados en el Bafici ‘18, y Retaguardia (Bafici ‘25).

Nacho Vegas habla sobre canciones. Después interpreta, acompañado de su guitarra, frente a un viejo grabador, su recién nacida canción “El fulgor”. Más tarde se la enseña a los músicos de su banda y luego la graba, la mezcla, hace comentarios sobre ella en particular, y la canta en vivo. Eso, en planos fijos, más un hermoso momento invisible, es El fulgor, dirigida por Ramón Lluís Bande hace más de 20 años, y programada primero en el Festival de Gijón de José Luis Cienfuegos y Fran Gayo y luego en el Bafici. Sin un solo plano al aire libre, sin un segundo de desvío, las imágenes son centrípetas, mientras los versos y las melodías de Nacho Vegas disparan la imaginación con fuerza centrífuga. Nacho Vegas talks about songs. Then, accompanied by his guitar, he performs his newly written song “El fulgor” in front of an old tape recorder. Later, he shows it to the musicians in his band, then records it, mixes it, comments on it in particular, and sings it live. That, in static shots, plus a beautiful invisible moment, is El fulgor, directed by Ramón Lluís Bande more than 20 years ago, and first screened at the Gijón Festival by José Luis Cienfuegos and Fran Gayo and later at Bafici. Without a single outdoor shot, without a second of deviation, the images are centripetal, while Nacho Vegas' verses and melodies fire the imagination with centrifugal force. The delicate and simple tension this generates spoke of another possible cinema. JPF
