“Yo tengo, con alegrías, que disfrazar mi tristeza” son las primeras palabras que escuchamos en Loca y –como se dice de la primera frase de un cuento– las que cifran su sentido. Sigue un exuberante desfile de imágenes, texturas y sonidos que oscilan entre la abstracción y la figuración. El tango irrumpe y convierte aquellos delirios –si a la memoria de alguien acuden los versos de Agustín Magaldi, bienvenido sea– en una danza, nunca mejor dicho, que une el cuerpo con el alma. No podía faltar el dos por cuatro en el festival más porteño de todos; esta vez llega de la mano de un cortometraje canadiense, prueba fehaciente de que el tango une fronteras y, también, nos devuelve la cordura aunque no abunde. “I have to disguise my sadness with joys” are the first words we hear in Loca and -as it is said of the first sentence of a story- the ones that determine its meaning. What follows is an exuberant parade of images, textures and sounds that oscillate between abstraction and figuration. Tango bursts in and turns those delusions -if Agustín Magaldi's verses come to mind, they are most welcome- into a dance, never better said, that unites the body with the soul. The two by four could not be absent in the most Porteño festival of all; and this time it comes from a Canadian short film, irrefutable proof that tango unites borders and, also, brings us back to sanity even if it does not abound.
